HR ALERT!

MANDATORY EMPLOYMENT POSTINGS:

On October 23, 2009, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) released a new "EEO is the Law" poster which includes information on the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act (GINA).

The poster is being updated to include information about GINA, specifically that employers are prohibited from discriminating against applicants and employees on the basis of genetic information or genetic testing. Our Mandatory Employment Posters are being revised to meet compulsory federal guidelines and we are now taking orders.

All covered employers are required to post this new poster with other required posters. Covered employers are all private employers with 15 or more employees and public sector employers.

State and federal law require your company to post up-to-date employee posters. The Illinois Chamber offers a set of two 23-by-30-inch laminated posters that include ALL federal and Illinois manadatory postings, including the following:
